Lawrence bets big on bioscience incubator growth
Lawrence opens a 20,000 square foot Bioscience and Technology Business Center to attract EU researchers and translate discoveries into startups. The project backs a 7.5 million incubator with wet labs, business services, and $7.5 million in funding from city, county, KU Endowment, and state bodies. Lawrence aims to retain startups, backed by a 10-year funding plan and new lab space near KU’s research complex.
