The Kanwaka 4 H Club met Tuesday night at Karis Hall with seventeen members and four guests. Plans for Achievement Day were discussed and program numbers included a grey singing of Comet the FE, How to Make Toa Cream, and talks on health, safety, and conservation. Carel Hird led the parliamentary quiz and Mrs Stine provided homemade refreshments after the meeting.
A quick cold soup option uses New England style condensed clam chowder cream and minced sea clams with chives. Heat gently then chill in a covered container. Serve with minced chives. Makes four servings and suggests using extra hard cooked eggs for lunches or egg salad to cut kitchen heat.
