Questions mark end of genocide case
In Wichita an attorney for Lazare Kobagaya said the Justice Department dropped charges in the Rwanda genocide case after prosecutors faced sanctions for withholding evidence. The defense outlined behind the scenes talks that ended the costly prosecution, which followed a judge tossing out all charges against the 84 year old Burundian immigrant of visa fraud. Prosecutors seek dismissal of the indictment, citing nondisclosure as a mistake.
