KHP closes K-10 after lengthy crash near Eudora
A cement mixer and a car crash halted all traffic on K-10 near Eudora for over six hours Thursday. The cement mixer driver suffered critical injuries and was trapped for over 30 minutes before rescue crews evacuated him to a regional trauma center. Two other Douglas County crashes prompted helicopter ambulances, one on the Kansas Turnpike west of Lecompton and another on US Highway 24 near the Douglas Leavenworth line. All lanes reopened after 10:15 p.m. with the incident investigated by the highway patrol CVAR team.
