William Gilbert Named KU History Assistant Professor
William Gilbert has been appointed assistant professor of history at the University of Kansas, announced by Chancellor Deane W. Mal. Gilbert earned a doctorate at Cornell University after undergraduate work at the University, with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He taught Renaissance and Reformation history at Cornell and Smith College, and has four years of prior teaching experience noted. A portion of his experience notes work in the India Burma theater.
