Ex-mayor Farmer resigns from Just Food and city post
The former Lawrence official resigned last week from Just Food and two days later from the Lawrence City Commission after district auditors questioned city charged personal expenses of about 1100. The Just Food board called Farmer’s mismanagement shocking, noting he dismissed the agency’s accountant and misrepresented relations while failing to file 2014 tax returns with the IRS.
