Evelyn Joann Barnes 75 of Lawrence died August 16 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Memorial services set for 2 p m Sunday at Central United Methodist Church. She donated her body to KU Hospital. She was born July 8 1930 in Hutchinson and lived in Lawrence since 1967. A former professional cook at several KU sororities and local eateries she retired in 1992. Survived by two sons Kevin and Randy, a daughter Jamie Blaylock, a brother, a sister, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Memorials to Evelyn Barnes Memorial Fund care of Warren McElwain Mortuary.
