MP3.com Settles With Sony in Copyright Case
MP3.com reached a settlement with Sony for past violations and gains a nonexclusive North American license to Sony songs for its MyMP3.com service. The San Diego company previously settled with Warner, BMG, and EMI and is negotiating with Universal. A trial to determine full infringement proceeds next week. MP3.com has reserved about 150 million dollars for these legal costs.
