State agency to discuss duck and geese regulations
Kansas Fish and Game Commission will hold its monthly meeting in Pratt to review duck and geese rules. Staff will present hunting season recommendations for High Plains ducks and geese in western Kansas. Last year the area east of US 283 was divided into two zones Zone One covers the south central region and Zone Two spans the north central to southeast.

Kansas dove season opens September first to November ninth
The Kansas dove season runs from September 1 to November 9 with a daily bag limit of 12 and a possession limit of 24. Hunters must have the 1982 license and install a solid one piece plug in repeating shotguns to cap magazine and chamber loading at three shells. Young hunters born on or after July 1, 1957 need a hunter safety certificate to hunt privately or buy a license.
