DIES IN CAR CRASH NEAR MEADE
Richard N. Sawyer 22 of Long Beach California died in a Highway 54 crash six miles west of Meade at about four this morning. He had just been discharged from the army and was sideswiped by a refrigerator van. The impact hurled both vehicles into 15 foot ditches on opposite sides of the road.
