Duty Taken Off Corn to Help Kansas Farmers

To reduce grinding of Kansas milling wheat for stock feed a duty on Argentine corn into the United States should be removed, says grain inspector George B. Ross. He notes Wichita and Hutchinson millers favor relief, claiming Argentine corn could reach Kansas farmers about 16 cents a bushel cheaper. Ross says elevators plan to grind wheat for stock feed, farmers lack corn, and the 1919 crop outlook is poor. An Associated Press market report follows with cattle, hogs, and grain prices in Kansas City and Chicago.
