Opurum's looming move from Kansas to Notre Dame fate

Four star Plano Texas back Toben Opurum chose Kansas but a series of coaching scandals and lineup changes altered his path. He ankle injury sidelined him as Kansas shifted to a new era under Turner Gill and Notre Dame fired Charlie Weis, creating a crossfire of what might have been. Opurum adapted to a new position, practicing at linebacker as he contends with rehab and learning. He remains a competitor with potential to contribute in a spread offense.
