The federal government will award Kansas City International Airport 11.8 million dollars for upgrading taxiways between Terminal A and Terminal 8 aprons and the west runway. Aviation director Mark Van Loh says the extensions will ease aircraft movement. Construction is slated to start next summer and last two years.
Charlie McIntyre 19 of Ellsworth Kansas was sentenced to seven to sixteen years in prison after pleading no contest to manslaughter in the September beating death of North Platte resident Bryan Dixon with a crowbar.
