Gore son faces North Carolina court on speeding case
Vice President Al Gore's son Albert Gore Ml, 1%, must appear in a North Carolina court for speeding 97 mph in a 55 mph zone and reckless driving. He was arrested Aug 12 on a rural Outer Banks highway near Norfolk. Camille Johnston said the teen was alone and returning home from a family vacation. The Gore family vacationed on Figure Eight Island near Wilmington in early August. A Sept 13 court hearing was scheduled. penalties may include fines and driving-privilege loss. Joyner said he was cooperative during arrest.
