Suspect arrested after fatal stabbing outside Dillon's store
Lawrence man Robert Earl Davis, 54, was taken into custody around 8:30 a.m. on suspicion of second degree murder and cruelty to animals after a fatal stabbing outside Dillon's on 1015 W 23rd St. The deceased victim's dog was wounded but survived. Davis has a history of violent crimes from 1983. Police urge witnesses to contact the Lawrence Police Department nonemergency line.
