Judge refuses release of Topeka man in lawyering case
U S District Judge Carlos Murguia denied a bid to free David Martin Price, jailed by the Kansas Supreme Court for practicing law without a license. Price remains jailed until he signs a waiver promising not to give legal advice. His wife objects, saying he is not guilty. The state seeks to stop Price from advising others for over three years, a rare contempt arrest by the high court.
