Judge denies new trial for man in home robbery case
Douglas County judge refused a new trial for Chester Wendell Brockman 52 convicted in January of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated burglary for the Bainbridge Circle home invasion in 2022. The jury heard Brockman and an accomplice forced entry as a woman held a 2 year old child and thousands of dollars in cash and items were stolen. The judge ruled the missing body cam era footage would not have changed the outcome. Brockman faces sentencing October 8. The other suspect Markcus Trey Sanders 30 remains in Douglas County custody facing related charges.
