FTC charges firm over unproven ADHD claims for Pedi-Active
The Federal Trade Commission alleged Natural Organics Inc of Melville New York advertised Pedi Active A D D as able to treat ADHD and improve attention in children without substantiated evidence. The FTC cited physician prescribed stimulants and therapy as common treatments for ADHD which affects up to 2.5 million U.S. children. CEO Gerald Kessler defended the company saying it has many studies supporting its ads.
