Proposes to Abolish State Fund Commission
Sen Dallas Knapp of Coffeyville says he prepared a proposal for introduction to abolish the state school fund commission and dispose of the 10 000 000 fund tied to a Kansas bond forgery case. He argues the fund serves no useful purpose and should be distributed to school districts by current interest shares. Fred M. Harris notes some forged warrants funded by bonds in 1931 were not destroyed, aiding forgeries, while A Jones confirms permanent fund bonds are accounted and stored in the treasurer's vaults.
