Peaslee Tech looks to future after launch success
Dwayne Peaslee Technical Training Center gears up for its second year as director Marvin Hunt and supporters aim to build on a strong first year. The 17,000 square foot center opened a year ago after a multi-party effort involving the city of Lawrence, Douglas County, the Lawrence chamber of commerce, the Economic Development Corporation of Lawrence and Douglas County, and local companies. Hunt recalls cleaning dust from the vacant site at 2920 Haskell Ave formerly unused since Honeywell Avionics left.
