The New Jersey Supreme Court ruled 7-0 that a man may decide whether seven frozen embryos created with his ex-wife are kept in storage or destroyed. The woman sought destruction to prevent any implantation by another, while the man, a remarried Catholic, will store the embryos. The court upheld a lower court’s decision and affirmed the mother’s right to prevent implantation.
The Miss America Pageant will inject reality TV style stakes with contestant voting and updated segments. Two non-Advanced Top 10 contestants will vote for finalists, final scores hinge on a wrong answer, and segments are renamed to Lifestyle and Fitness Presence and Poise Artistic Expression and Presentation and Community Achievement.
