Senior meal program finds home in Baldwin
Baldwin Academy of Dance and Voice runs the Dance Cafe at 711 High St as a new CHAMPSS site for seniors. The cafe serves meals 11 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday, filling gaps after Baker University cafe teria ceased hosting the program and prior sites faced parking and seasonal access issues. Beth Kinnan of Jayhawk AAA says the site supports public access and not isolation for 60 plus residents.
