Ethanol fuels debate grows in Kansas farms
Kansas ethanol plants under construction will add 300 million gallons to annual output as supporters praise jobs and local impact while critics note subsidies and irrigation concerns. Researchers cite mixed energy data, with DOE finding favorable energy return per ethanol delivered. Experts highlight growth in corn prices benefiting farmers, and regional leaders emphasize rural and state economic gains.
