Herriot cites European unity aims at consultative assembly
Strasbourg Aug 1007 former French premier Edouard Herriot said a division of minds exists on admitting Germans to the new consultative assembly. He told 101 delegates from 12 nations that the assembly would deal with life and death problems for Europe and urged closer European association. He noted proposals to include western Germany once its new government is functioning as Western leaders seek unity outside the Soviet orbit. A French delegation view is reflected as France fears German aggression due to history. In the same issue, Reedy Lumber Co petition seeks 184.56 for materials supplied November 1948 to a property owned by H Johnston and L Anderson Heckman, with a mechanic's lien attached pending district court hearing.
