Cully 27 sentenced to five years for manslaughter
Marci Deshayna Cully pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter for the Christmas Day stabbing of her boyfriend, Lawrence, in the 4300 block of West 24th Place. Judge Branson sentenced her to 59 months in prison, with 226 days already served, plus restitution of 3483.29 to the victim’s family and a 15 year violent offender registration.

Woman denies leaking Wolf information in open letter
Kansas Board of Healing Arts member Ann Hodgdon of Lenexa released a three page open letter denying she was the source of reports that harmed Milton Wolf’s U.S. Senate bid. She also denied initiating any ethics investigation or sharing X-ray post images with media or the board. Wolf, a Johnson County radiologist, lost to Pat Roberts in a tight GOP race. The Topeka Capital-Journal earlier reported Wolf posted X-ray images of gunshot victims on Facebook, with dark humor comments, which were removed before publication.
