Rescuers and volunteers broadened a search for seven year old Larry in the Manzano Mountains area southeast of Albuquerque. ACRA units and state police used citizen band radios and a raised signal from the boy who said he and his father were rabbit hunting when their pickup overturned. An Army U 21 plane Civil Air Patrol and National Guard helicopters aided the airborne search as the boy’s transmissions weakened and then briefly revived when the plane lights appeared.
