Red Cross Douglas County Chapter Board Report
The Douglas County American Red Cross board met Monday at the Community Building. Miss Jose Stapleton reported 151 pupils enrolled in Red Cross swimming classes at the Jayhawk Plunge, with beginner, intermediate and teen groups and a life saving class. Cooperation from pool manager J. Lawrence and home service chair Esther Twente was praised. Home nursing chair Mrs. J. Murray noted rural class completion and no current sessions. Camp land hospital committee chair Mrs. C. W. Amidon said Winter General hospital programs have been well received by patients and staff. Marvin LeSeur proposed a revised fund allocation, which the board approved.
