FBI Men Enter Hunt For Allen Murderer

Railroad Worker Killed Helping Car in Mud in Kansas
A 49 year old railroad worker died after stopping to aid a motorist during a heavy rain near Lawrence. Harvey A Makinen, of Kansas City care of Union Pacific roadmaster, was struck at Williamstown Junction at 10 55 Saturday night on U S Highways 24 and 59. Eight others were injured including Mrs Sarah Leonard and her husband Frank Leonard both of Topeka. Charles Sackrider and passengers Bill Camm and Larry Camm were treated in Topeka hospitals for chest injuries bruises and concussions. The crash occurred late Saturday night during a blinding rainstorm.
