McLouth Threshing Bee Hones Historic Family Fun Weekend

The McLouth threshing bee continues this weekend on the museum grounds hosted by the Heart of America Antique Steam Engine and Model Association, a nonprofit funding the event. Angi Cammack says costs to keep old machines running are high, with a bounce house, youth games, more vendors, and a horse and carriage rides on nearly 80 acres. Charter member Bob Klinkenberg recalls purchasing the grounds in the 1950s as the festival traces its 50 plus years of tradition, with events today including a parade of power, car show, youth pedal tractors, and mini-rod pulls leading to a Hazards County musical finale.
