The state highway commission invites bids for resurfacing Massachusetts Street from Kay River bridge to Eleventh Street Atchison County Court House Atchison until 9 a m August 27. Fort Riley Kan Aug 7 1921 Guardsmen from 44th infantry division under Maj Gen Bay Fortate gather at Camp Funston for a two week summer training encampment opening Sunday. About 7200 National Guardsmen arrive via special trains and convoys from Nebraska and Iowa with 2000 guardsmen from one unit and 6200 from another. The first motor convoy with 25 officers and 200 enlisted men is due this evening as advance party.
