Lawrence teachers approve master contract with raises
Lawrence School District teachers counselors and librarians ratified a master agreement with a 1250 pay raise for the coming year. In a 458 to 7 vote the Lawrence Education Association and district negotiated the deal which now goes to the school board for ratification Monday night at 7 p.m. at district headquarters 110 McDonald Drive. The pact covers at least 880 licensed educators and includes health insurance and working conditions provisions.

Wittig to get 36M from Westar in arbitration settlement
