Federal agent shot and killed outside Florida post office
A U S Customs and Border Protection agent Donald Pettit aged 52 was fatally shot in a post office parking lot in suburban Fort Lauderdale during a possible fight. He died hours later at Memorial Regional Hospital as police searched for the suspect who fled in a car. Pettit was with his young daughter when attacked. no other injuries reported. Police saturated the area with helicopters and patrols to locate the gunman.

Sea Lion Sails Onto Family Boat at Clark Island
A Sea lion boarded the Flurry family 31 foot sailboat at Clark Island in Washington. The animal climbed the stern ladder and swam circles around the boat while the family tried to coax it back to the water. The 5 year old grandson asked to keep it as a pet.
