Gunman kills courthouse worker in Kimball County
A Kimball County Court House janitor was killed by a gunman who roamed the courthouse, shot at police, then surrendered after a 20 minute standoff. Sheriff Marv Jensen said the attacker, arrested earlier in a bar fight, is in custody. The victim was identified as Mark Clinton.

Fugitive murder suspect captured after six day search
James Finley Jr. 21 of Hickory was nabbed near a hunting lodge in Pekin after a six day manhunt for the killings of Derek Marston and Tommi Byrd, both 24, whose bodies were found shot and slashed at a Linville Gorge campsite in western North Carolina. He was confronted by deputies and Rockingham Police, transported to a Pekin command post, and then to jail.

Drug cuts breast cancer deaths in high risk women
