Liberal arts group backed to judge core curriculum standards

Led by Edwin O Wilson Jacques Barzun and Elizabeth Fox-Genovese the academy seeks a widespread core curriculum in literature history and philosophy, arguing many colleges offer frivolous courses and excessive choice.
