Lawrence hosts Hiratsuka photo exchange and teen visit
The Lawrence Photo Alliance plans to send a photographic exhibit to Hiratsuka following an invitation from the sister cities program. About 30 Hiratsuka photos will be shown at the Lawrence Public Library in January, including scenes from the Tanabata festival. Twenty-six Hiratsuka teens arrived for a five day stay as flooding in the Midwest nearly canceled the trip.
