Goodwin to Officiate At First Baptist Services
Rev. John W. Goodwin will speak at both morning and evening services at First Southern Baptist Church this Sunday while Pastor Clint Duncan is on vacation. Goodwin has served since 1964 as assistant to the president of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City and was vice president of the Baptist Public Relations Association in 1965. The morning service begins at 11 and the evening at 7.

Lorana Howard and Mary Margaret Bever have been chosen as delegates to the 1966 Kansas Christian Churches Youth Missions Tour. Mary Margaret will represent Bethany Park Christian Church and Lorana the First Christian Church in Lawrence. The two week mission tour by chartered bus starts from Hutchinson and includes stops at Inman Christian Center in San Antonio Texas Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and Randolph Air Force Base. Mary Margaret is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. George V Bever and a ninth grader at Independence Junior High. Lorana is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Howard and a senior at Lawrence High School.
