Kansas to change recovery plan for flood disaster aid
Southeast Kansas will receive a revamped recovery process to aid floods in late June. Governor Sebelius backs a relief package to help businesses rebuild replace damaged equipment and restore jobs with funds previously approved for Greensburg tornado recovery. Lawmakers plan a comprehensive 2008 flood disaster relief proposal and consider sales tax exemptions, school funding adjustments, and emergency appropriations outside sessions.
