Sales tax proposals sail to victory in Eudora Oskaloosa votes
Voters in Eudora and Oskaloosa backed city one cent sales taxes, while countywide measures failed in Jefferson and Leavenworth counties and Franklin County rejected two tax increases. Oskaloosa passed 123 to 121 and Eudora 311 to 68. county measures failed 1,294 to 1,242 in Jefferson and 3,744 to 3,068 in Leavenworth. Franklin rejected two millage increases 1,909 to 1,305 and 1,925 to 1,218.
