Bee swarm attack kills Arizonan woman in storage shed
Cheryl McClain, 46, died after being stung at least 80 times while she and partner Ted Richard moved items into a shed behind their home. Richard survived, telling police McClain said I love you as she collapsed. The coroner cited anaphylactic shock and noted she is Arizona’s fifth bee attack fatality since 1993. Separately, the Army began Green Beret Robin Sage drills at Fort Bragg, with tens of counties involved and civilian volunteers aiding training in Pineland. In February a combat incident injured a deputy and killed 1st Lt. Taflas Tomeny.
