Widow Polly Savage Dies After Long Illness in Lawrence
Mesth of Yirs avsse widow of Deacon William Savage Polly Savage died at her son Forrest Savage's residence at 2 o’clock yesterday. Born in Hartford Vermont February 28 1789 she was 84. She lived in Lawrence Kansas twenty five years. Her husband died eight years ago in October. Survived by sons Joseph and Forrest Savage and daughter Mrs D E Hood in Denver. Her maiden name Hazen she was one of eleven children. She kept up political talk to the end and discussed Garfield’s death. Last sickness was long and painful ending in rest beside her husband. Merchants' Telephone and Telegraph Co with Mr John C Summell will remain open day and night. Bates & Field begin tearing out front for plate glass.
