Drivers Escape Injury In 2 Vehicle Accident
A 11 30 a.m. collision at 6th and Mass Sts caused 350 in damage to James Frisbie of Topeka driving south on Mass, who struck the rear of Fred Bryan of Atchison turning left onto the Kaw River Bridge. Frisbie’s car sustained heavy damage. Bryan’s truck had 50 in damage. Both drivers escaped injury.

Lawrence area native dies in Southeast Asia fighting
The body of a Lawrence area serviceman, stationed near Da Nang, will be returned to the United States for burial in Lawrence in about 10 days. Indefinite arrangements were announced. The Topeka Marine unit may provide military honors if requested. Surviving relatives include the parents, two sisters Carol von Knorring and Cherrill Shoemaker both of Lawrence, two brothers Gary Dean and Stephen Kent Snow, grandmothers Myrtle Snow and Arleen Vogler of Lawrence. KU Theater Student Contracts Mumps On Greenland Tour
