Tokyo Aug 1 Two navy bombers knocked out the engine and eight cars of a 15 car train Saturday near Chongjin on North Korea s east coast. The strike also damaged a rail highway bridge. Chongjin lies about 44 miles from Manchuria. The navy said it was the northernmost attack of the war.

Washington Aug 1 Wheat crop control laws would be left unchanged under a measure passed by the House and sent to the Senate.
