Economist John Kenneth Galbraith Dies at 97
Harvard economist and liberal icon John Kenneth Galbraith died Saturday night at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge at age 97. Born in Canada in 1908, he advised presidents from FDR to Clinton and shaped postwar thought with The Affluent Society and The Great Crash. He hosted The Age of Uncertainty and wrote extensively on economics and public policy.
