KU Seeks Season Ticket Plan For Student Fans
KU offers a ticket deal as leaders realize the athletic department can aid fundraising. About 1,200 tickets move to season status next season, with general admission seats at stake for individual games. Moving 226 students will form a wall in the end zones to boost home court. The athletic department caps its support for the Student Recreation Fitness Center expansion at 1 million dollars per year, funding new basketball courts racquetball spaces and weight facilities. Student beneficiaries say they gain from access once tickets would have gone to the public. Knopp consulted campers who attend fieldhouse events and all supported the plan. Contact at 832-7222.
