Lana Turner's daughter escapes from county home
Hollywood AP reports Cheryl Turner's 19 year old daughter fled Friday night from the El Retiro Home for Girls in Sylmar, climbing a fence with two companions and vanishing into the San Fernando Valley neighborhood. The teen had been placed there after a reported psychiatric therapy. Cheryl fatally stabbed Johnny Stompanato in 1958 during a quarrel with Lana Turner. the slaying was ruled justifiable homicide.
