Oklahoma U. clean bill contrasts with deaths probe
Oklahoma City April 29 AP investigators traced a sordid chain of illegal practice connected to deaths near the University of Oklahoma. An osteopath J W Eissminger and a physician Dr Richard Thacker were central to charges and searches while the university faced denials of moral failure. County Attorney Morris said four baby delivery sites operated with paid go-betweens and private nursing homes blamed for illegal operations. Thacker fled after murder charges tied to Miss Robbie Lou Thompson with Eissminger pleading not guilty and set for May 6 preliminary hearing. Other deaths under scrutiny included Mrs F Roach Isobel Ferguson Ruth Hall and Marie Epperson.
