A jumble of society notes from Topeka recounts Personal E J Wheeler and other figures visiting or passing through the city yesterday. Names include Senator Kelley Coffey county Doctor Abdelal President Sweet Haber University and numerous local business and political figures.
Sadie Reigh, a young woman, pleaded guilty to shooting and killing Patrick Kinsley, head waiter at the Briggs House for defaming her character. She was sentenced to one year and a half in the penitentiary.
The Iouston and Texas Central railroad six miles south of here suffered a washout that precipitated the southbound train and drowned the engineer. Repairs may resume service tomorrow.
