Boy Dies Trying to Rescue Pets
A 12 year old boy, George Beattie, burned to death while trying to save his puppy and three kittens from a fire in his home in Turner. The father woke to smoke and led the family to safety before the flames overtook the kitchen. The puppy and kittens perished.
