In South Park on Saturday a May Day program will award rural school pupils the nine point health honors. Miss Matie Neely announces free picture shows at Patee and Varsity theaters and a noon basket luncheon courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce Merchants Bureau. A large circle will host arches for the nine health points as pupils march by schools under banners. The processional starts 1:30 PM led by Jack Henry and George Haverstock with the Union rhythm band. Prof Earnest Boyce will present the health awards. LaVeda Hill is crowned May queen with Eleanor Stanwix, Lois McClung, Mildred Johanning, Betty Peterson, Opal Miskimen, and Maxine Price as attendants. Richard Corey will crown the queen, with Dorothy Ervin and Dorothy Broers as flower girls. retiring queen receives flowers from Marilyn Rosenau. A fairy dance, student chorus, and Dutch dance are planned along with Lecompton High School orchestra and May Pole by Lecompton grade pupils.
