Why Journal-World omits full frames of Family Circus
The Journal-World prints a tabloid sized Sunday comics section and does not publish the full page versions used by some papers. Deputy editor Bill Snead explains they order and print the version they receive, with two comics per page to enlarge legibility. He notes some strips use extra panels for larger formats, and mentions generic formats for Sally Forth and others. He also provides fan club contact for Marcus Allen via the Chiefs.
